Now Chaanakya was waiting for the reaction of Dhanaanand.
Nand asked his Amaatya - "When at Vasantotsav, Chaanakya challenged us,
since then how many of his people we have arrested?"
Amaatya - "5,000 people."
Nand ordered - "Kill all of them."
Amaatya asked with surprise - "All of them?"
Nand said - "Yes." Amaatya ordered to kill all of them.
When Chandragupt was crowned King,
he wore new clothes. The servant asked - "What to do of these old clothes?"
Chandragupt said - "Keep them somewhere. One should never forget about his
origin," Chaanakya said - "Now you have become now a king, so you should know
how to behave like a king. When I will finish my Dhyaan, come to me I will tell you
something about it." Chandragupt went to him and Chaanakya told him how to be a
good king. Chaanakya further said - "A king should work with ordinary people.
This is only management that one is king and another is public. This management is
made up of several ordinary people, that is why the king should think about them only.
Till you work with "Bahujan Sukhaaya , Bahujan Hitaaya" aim you will be on
the throne
Nand Sends Amaatya to Puru
Nand asked Amaatya - "What Chaanakya is thinking now?"
Amaatya said - "I think Chaanakya will use Saam, Daam, Dand and Bhed policy."
Nand laughed and said - "He cannot win me in these policies. But Amaatya, Can
you tell me, what will be his next step? Let me tell you what is he going to do next.
He will go to Puru and ask his help to build his army. So you should go there
first and make efforts to give him so much money that he cannot refuse your offer. You take
both Puru and Malayaketu with you."
Amaatya said - "Yes, Mahaaraaj." Then he called his assistant Kalku and
introduced him to Nand and said that he would replace him when he would be away
to Puru. And Amaatya went away to meet Puru.
Chaanakya's Plan to Free 5,000 Soldiers
Meghaa came there and informed Chaanakya that Nand had ordered Chaanakya's
5,000 soldiers to be killed and he has sent a letter also in the reply of your
letter. Amaatya had started to meet Puru and he would stay in an inn on the way.
Chandragupt asked - I am going to save my people."
Chaanakya said - "I will see these people, I have some other work for you. This
time you have to steal Amaatya's Mudrikaa (seal) and you have to steal in this way
that he should not know that his Mudrikaa has been stolen. Take this earth, and get
its mark on this earth. We will make then another Mudrikaa and use it against him.
It will be very useful for us in the future."
Chandragupt said - "We have done this before also so I will do it again too."
Chaanakya said - "It is not easy to do it this time, because we do not know where
he will hide his Mudrikaa. So you have to find it first where he has hidden it."
"How we will find it out?" "That depends upon you." "I
will do whatever and however, but I will bring the imprint of the Mudrikaa."
Chandragupt was worried abut his 5,000 soldiers, he asked - "And then our soldiers?"
Chaankaya consoled him - "Do not worry about them, I will take care of them."
Bhadrasaal was burnt in the fire
Chaanakya set around his hut. Sukhdev was applying ointment to his wounds and
Bhadrasaal was crying with pain. Sukhdev said - "This is the difference between
you and Aambheek. Aambheek lost himself in the luxuries of palace after becoming
the king and you are still crying with pain. But you should not put out the fire
of this revenge. Keep it up, because the feeling of this revenge will help to give
you the strength of fighting with Chaanakya. Before this task was difficult, but not
now, as he has become the King."
Durdharaa Releases Chaanaky's Soldiers
Somebody told Durdharaa that her father was killing Chaanakya's soldiers. There
is no better opportunity than this to serve "Maa Bhaaratee" (this was
the Naaraa of Chaanakya). Durdharaa understood. She came to her palace and was
thinking how to free those 5,000 soldiers, that she saw Nayantaaraa of Kapilvastu
in her room. She welcomed her. Nayantaaraa asked the forgiveness from the Princess
for the killing etc occurred on her marriage day. Durdharaa told her that she did
not want to marry Bhadrasaal as she loved somebody else. "Who" Nayantaaraa
asked. "Chandragupt." Nayantaaraa told her she also wanted to
help Chaanakya and Chandragupt, so both went to free Chaanakya's soldiers.
Durdharaa said to the guard that
she had brought the message from Nand that - "Our enemy had arrested her
soldiers. We have come to release them so that a proper action could be taken
against them" The guard did not have such an order, but Durdharaa threatened
him and he complied the order of Durdharaa. Once the guard went to Kalku also to
ask but he also could not interfere Durdharaa's orders. Thus all the prisoners
were released. When Nand heard this he beat Durdharaa a lot, but since he loved
her very much, he went back in a frustration mood.
Chandragupt Takes Imprint of Amaatya's Signet
Shashaank told Chaanakya that Amaatya has started from Paataliputra to meet Puru
and would stay in an inn on the way. Meghaa expressed her doubt - "Amaatya
will not be there alone, how you will take the imprint of his Mudrikaa (signet
ring)?" Shashaank and Chandragupt came to the same inn. When Amaatya came
there, the innkeeper expressed his joy to welcome him and admired his inn for
the best food and sleeping comfort. As Amaatya was eating food ther, Shashaank
in disguise served the food to him and made out where his signet could be. Chandragupt
was also eating nearby, so he made a sign to Chandragupt. Chandragupt went out
and made a sign to his people waiting outside for his orders. They came in the
inn started robbing the people. They felled Amaatya. Chandragupt imprisoned Amaatya
and tried to convince him (hiding his face from a cloth) that he had imprisoned
him because he was the Lakshmeedhar merchant. Last time when he came he gave his
money nut he did not give his diamonds. Amaatya explained him hundreds of times
that he was not Lakshmeedhar merchant, but Chandragupt was not ready to agree
with this.
Amaatya asked him - "Do you know who I am? I am Magadh's Amaatya Raakshas."
Chandragupt said - "All thieves say it like this when they are caught. I have
already sent an information to your relations about your arrest her. They must be
coming soon. if they will give my diamonds, I will release you otherwise I will kill
you tomorrow morning."
Amaatya said - "I can prove you that I am not Lakshmeedhar, I am Amaatya Raakshas."
Chandragupt said - "Good try. But you know that you are Lakshmeedhar. Just pray,
that your people hand over my diamonds.
When they were talking like this, a man
came (Shashaank in disguise) and said to Amaatya - "These people are very cunning."
Amaatya asked him - "Who are you?" "I am Charak. I also have to die
tomorrow."
Amaatya tried to explain to him too - "I am not Lakshmeedhar."
Charak said - "But how can I agree with you that you are Amaatya Raakshas."
Amaatya opened his wrist band, took out his signet and made an imprint on the back
of his hand.
Charak immediately said - "I am mistaken, O Amaatya, please excuse me." and
saying this he turned, but the suddenly he hit a stick on Amaatya's head and he became
unconscious. He fell down. He then took out his signet ring from his wrist band, took
its imprint on the earth lump, and replaced his wrist band on his wrist.
The innkeeper was crying for his loss. Amaatya came in senses. He said - "Who
brought me here?"
Charak said - "I brought you here at the risk of my life."
Amaatya aid - "I will give you something in return to save my life."
Charak said - "I don't need anything. If you want to give something, give it to
this innkeeper. He has lost a lot and he will have something after you give him
something."
Shashaank and Chandragupt came
back and gave that signet ring's imprint to Chaanakya.
Chaanakya informed them that their soldiers have been released. Who did that?
Durdharaa. Chandragupt became happy to hear this.
Chaanakya said - "Value is not in the thing itself. Its value is in its
use. Among the four policies - Saam, Daam, Dand and Bhed, Daam is the most useful
policy. Now I will mke use of this policy, you just watch."
The Serial abruptly stopped here for unknown reasons, so this is all for now
