82-Soccer-2 - IFAB

82-Soccer Or Football-3 : 2005 - 119th Meeting of International Football Association Board (IFAB)

About Goal - How to decide that there was goal? and not just since England's infamous third goal during the 1966 FIFA World Cup final at Wembley. So the Board took the help of technology. FIFA partner Adidas and German company and a German Institute have developed a system in which the ball will be embedded with an electronic chip.

About Law 11 - Offside - When a player is offside? "If he is nearer to his opponent's goal line than both the ball and the second last opponent". So the position of any part of the player's head, body or feet will be the deciding factor and not the player's arms.

About Law 3 - Number of Players - In National team matches maximum six substitutes will be allowed. In all other matches, a greater number of substitutes may be allowed, provided that the teams concerned have decided it before and the referees have been informed about it.

About Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct - Once a Referee has terminated the match, he cannot change the decision, however the Referee has the authority to impose disciplinary sanctions since the time he enters the field of play until he leaves the pitch after the final whistle.

About Law 15 - Throw In - In future all opponents must be two meters away from the thrower until the ball is in play.
