Daksh Jee was one of the 10 Maanas Putra (brain children) of Brahmaa Jee (Mareechi, Angiraa, Daksh, Pulastya, Pulah, Bhrigu, Vashishth, Atri, Kratu, and Naarad). He was married to Manu and Shataroopaa's one of the three daughters - Prasooti (others were Aakooti - married to Ruchi Prajaapati and Devahooti - married to Kardam Rishi).

Daksh's Children
According to Bhaagvat Puraan, 4/1, Daksh and Prasooti had 16 daughters. He married his -
--13 daughters to Dharm (Shraddhaa, Maitree, Dayaa, Shaanti, Tushti, Pushti, Kriyaa, Unnati, Buddhi, Medhaa, Titikshaa (contentment), Hree, and Moorti);
--one daughter Swaahaa to Agni,
--one daughter Swadhaa to all Pitra Gan, and
--one daughter Satee to Shiv Jee.

There was another Daksh who was the son of Prachetaa Gan and Maarishaa.

According to Bhaagvat Puraan, 6/3, Daksh Jee had 60 daughters from his wife Veerinee, from whom, he gave
--10 daughters to Dharm - Arundhatee, Vasu, Yaamee, Lambaa, Bhaanu, Marutvatee, Sankalpaa, Muhoortaa, Saadhyaa, and Vishwaa;
--13 daughters to Maharshi Kashyap - Aditi, Diti, Danu, Vinataa, Kadroo, Arishtaa, Surasaa, Khasaa, Surabhi, Taamraa, Iraa, Muni, and Krodhvashaa;
--27 daughters to Chandramaa (Som), known as 27 Nakshatra - Aashleshaa, Maghaa, Poorv Phaalgunee, Uttaraa Phaalgunee, Hast, Chitraa, Swaati, Vishaakhaa, Anuraadhaa, Jyeshthaa, Moolaa, Poorv Aashaadhaa, Uttar Aashaadhaa, Shravan, Dhanishthaa, Poorv Bhadraa, Uttar Bhadraa, Revatee, Ashwinee, Bharanee, Krittikaa, Rohinee, Mrigsheersh, Aardraa, Punarvasu, Pushya Arundhatee, Bhag, Anuraadhaa, Shatbhishaa;
--4 daughters to Arishtnemi;
--2 daughters to Bahuputra (Kapilaa, Atilohitaa, Peetaa and Ashitaa), 
--2 daughters to Angiraa, (maybe Shubh and Taaraa)
--2 daughters to Krishaashwa Prajaapati - Jayaa and Suprabhaa. (They had 50 missile each who were invincible, Vishwaamitra Jee gave all of them to Raam when he was taking them to kill Taadakaa - see V-Raamaayan, 1/8/27-28.)

Krishaashwa's wives' names, Jayaa and Suprabhaa, come in V-Raamaayan, 1/6/21 also. Prajaapati Krishaashwa gave birth to 100 missiles who are supreme. Jayaa got the Var and begot 50 formless sons to destroy demonic people. They were very brave and courageous. Their job was only to kill Raakshas. Suprabhaa also gave birth to another 50 invincible sons named "Sanhaaran" (Destroyer). Enemy could not even dare to attack them.

According to Bhavishya Puraan, 1/10, Daksh had a daughter named Roopaa whom he gave to Soorya while the Sun was still in the egg. And while he was still in egg, he had two children from her - Yam and Yamunaa. Later she could not tolerate Soorya's Tej, so she kept her shadow with Soorya secretively, took the form of a mare and went to Uttar Kuru Pradesh to do Tap.
