Nakul and Sahadev

Nakul and Sahadev were twin sons of Raajaa Paandu from his second wife Maadree. They were the youngest sons of Paandu through Ashwinee Kumaar.

They got married to Draupadee according to Kuntee's words, and had one son each from Draupadee. Nakul's son's name was Shataaneek and Sahadev's son's name Shrutkarmaa. But they were married to their own wives also. Nakul was married to Karenumatee, the princess of Chedi Desh and had a son from her - Niramitra. When Nakul passed his 13th year of exile in Viraat Nagar, he went there as a caretaker of horses and he said that he would be known as Granthikaa (MBH, G-4-Van/56), but in MBH, G-4-Van/62 Viraat calls him as Damagranthi.

Sahadev was a very handsome man. Sahadev was married to Vijayaa, the daughter of Dyutimaan of Madra Desh, apart from Draupadee, and had a son from her named Suhotra. Mahaabhaarat (MBH, Udyog Parv, Section 50) says that Sahadev had only four people equal to him in war - Ashwatthaamaa, Dhrishtketu, Rukmee (Rukminee's brother), and Pradyumn (Krishn's son). Sahadev killed first Ulook (Shakuni's son) and then Shakuni himself on the 18th day of MBH war.
