1-Fun Mathematics

Multiplying a number by 11 is soooo easy!!!

To multiply any 2-figure number by 11, we just put the total of two figures in between the two figures:

For Example --
if we have to multiply 72 x 11
We will add  7 and 2, which is = 9
And now we will put this 9 between 7 and 2,    which is 792

Example-2
43 x 11
4 + 3 = 7
Keep 7 between 4 and 3 = 473

How to get result of 65 x 65

Step:1      6(6+1) = 6 x 7 = 42 and 5 x 5 = 25
Step:2     Keep both  numbers together - 4225 is the result

Similarly: 35 x 35 = 3(3+1) and 25 ------> 3 x 4 and 25 -------> 1225 is the result.

Let  a  =  b
Multiply with 94
94a  =  94b
(100-6)a  =  (100-6)b
100a - 6a  =  100b - 6b
100(a-b)  =  6(a-b)
100  =  6
So  6  =  100

Roman Numerals

Roman numerals have the symbols only up to 1,000. To write the numerals above than one has to make up from those symbols only. Long numbers are really difficult to write and read.

1   =   i   or  I
2  =   ii  or  II
5  =   v  or   V
7  =   vii  or  VII
9  =  ix  or  IX  (10 minus 1)
10  =  x  or  X
11  =  xi  or  XI
15  =  xv  or  XV
20  =  xx  or  XX
30  =  xxx  or   XXX
40  =  xl  or  XL  (50 minus 10)
50  =  l  or  L
60  =  lx  or  LX
80  =  lxxx  or  LXXX
90  =  xc  or  XC  (100 minus 10)
100  =  C
500  =  D
1,000  =  M

Zero is the only number that cannot be represented by Roman numerals.

Do you know how many and which letters are used in Roman numerals?
7 letters.   I,  V,  X,  L,  C,  D,  M

Do you know how 40 is written in Roman numbers> - XL  (Xtra Large)

Earth and Mathematical Equations

Nature is very exact. It is inspiring to read this ---

For example:
--the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
--those of the canary in 14 days;
--those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
--the eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
--those of the mallard in 35 days;
--the eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.

Note that they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week.

Elephant...
The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction...
No other quadruped is so made. Too large to live on two legs,
God's plan gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.

--Each watermelon has *even number* of stripes on the rind.
--Each orange has an *even number* of segments.
--Each ear of corn has an *even number* of rows.
--Each stalk of wheat has an *even number* of grains.
--Every bunch of bananas grows with an *even number* of bananas on the bottom row.
--Each row up decreases by one. The next row has an odd number and the next row an even number and so forth. It never varies.
--The waves of the sea roll in on shore *twenty-six waves to the minute* - no matter if calm or stormy.
