3-Intelligent Dog

A butcher watching over his shop was really surprised when he saw a dog coming inside the shop. He shooed him away. But later, the dog was back again. So, he went over to the dog and noticed that it had a note in its mouth. He took the note which read "Can I have 12 sausages and a leg of lamb, please? The dog has money in its mouth, as well."

The butcher looked inside and, lo and behold, there was a ten dollar note there. So he took the money and put the sausages and lamb in a bag, placed it in the dog's mouth. The butcher was so impressed, and since it was about closing time, he decided to shut the shop and follow the dog.

So off he went. The dog was walking down the street, when it came to a level crossing; the dog put down the bag, jumped up and pressed the button. Then he waited patiently, bag in mouth, for the lights to turn. They did, and he walked across the road, with the butcher following him all the way.

The dog then came to a bus stop, and started looking at the timetable. The butcher was in awe as the dog stopped a bus by pulling his left leg up and got in it. The butcher followed the dog into the bus. The dog then showed a ticket which was tied to his belt to the bus conductor. The butcher was nearly fainting at this sight, so were the other passengers in the bus. The dog then sat near the driver's seat looking outside. As soon as the stop was in sight, the dog stood and wagged his tail to inform the conductor. Then, without waiting for the bus to stop completely, he jumped out of the bus and ran to a house very close to the stop.

He opened the big iron gate and rushed inside towards the door. As he approached the wooden door, the dog suddenly changed his mind and headed towards the garden. He went to the window, and beat his head against it several times, walked back, jumped off, and waited at the door. The butcher watched as a big guy opened the door, and started abusing the dog, kicking him and punching him, and swearing at him. The butcher surprised with this, ran up, and stopped the guy.

"What in heaven's name are you doing? The dog is a genius. He could be on TV, for the life of me!" To which the guy responded - "You call this dog clever? This is the second time this week that this stupid dog has forgotten his key."

Most You may continue to exceed onlookers expectations but shall always fall short of the boss' expectations. It's a dog's life after all.....
