Gangaadhar
When Bhageerath brought Gangaa on Earth, she posed the problem to descend on Earth that when she would fall on Earth, she would entere the Earth because of its force and his purpose would be defeated, so he must seek somebody who could bear her on him or her. Then she asked him to request Shiv. Bhageerath then pleased Shiv and requested to bear Gangaa on his head. he did that and since then he has been known as Gangaadhar.

Lord of Kailaash Parvat, as it is his residence.

Khand Parashu
Once, Shiv challenged Parashuraam to a battle to test his skills in warfare. So the spiritual master (Gurudev) Shiv and his disciple Parashuraam were locked in a fierce battle. This dreadful duel lasted for 21 days. While ducking to avoid being hit by the Trident (Trishool) of Shiv, Parashuraam vigorously attacked him with his Parashu. It struck Shiv on his forehead creating a wound. Shiva was very pleased to see the amazing warfare skills of his disciple. He passionately embraced Parashuraam. Shiv preserved this wound as an ornament so that the reputation of his disciple remained imperishable and insurmountable. "Khand-parashu" (wounded by Parashu) is one of the 1,000 names (for the salutation) of Shiv.

Lolaark
Once he fell in Kaashee that is why he was known as Lolaark

Neel Kanth
When he drank poison coming out of Saagar Manthan, his throat became blue and he got known as Neel Kanth

Tripuraari
Tri means 3, Pur means cities, and Ari means enemy, so Tripuraari means who is the enemy of three cities. Since he killed the three Asur living in three cities, he has been known as Tripuraari.
