20-Pathaan and Taimoor Lang
9-Bhavishya Puraan, 3-Pratisarg (4), p 331-333

The fourth Part of Pratisarg Parv of Bhavishya Puraan is very important with the viewpoint of history. In this part history of all the four legs of Sat Yug, Tretaa Yug, Dwaapar Yug and Kali Yug is given. Besides, the history of the previous births of many Aachaarya, saints, Bhakt poets, is also given. They are said to be the Avataar of 12 Aaditya, 11 Rudra, 8 Vasu, or 2 Ashwinee Kumaar. Special treatment is given to Chaitanya Mahaaprabhu and that he got absorbed in Jagannaath Jee. But there are some incoherencies also which create doubts in their originality.

Yug Description

(Chap 5) Soot Jee said - "When Brahmaa's noon time came, there came such a heavy storm in Chaakshush Manvantar (6th one) that even Himaalaya also trembled. Most of the creatures of the Universe died. Prithvi and sea all sank in water, only Lokaalok Parvat which is located in north remained. This situation continued up to 1,000 years. Then Vishnu, jointly with Brahmaa, stabilized Shishumaar Chakra in the sky and all stars, Nakshatra (constellations) etc placed at their places. This dried the water of Prithvi. After one Ayut (1,000 years) years had passed, Prithvi appeared in the form of land. Brahmaa produced Som from his mouth, Soorya from his both arms, Lord of rivers Saagar from his breasts, Shoodra Raaj Daksh from feet. From Som appeared Braahman, from Soorya appeared Kshatriya, from Samudra appeared Vaishya and from Daksh appeared Shoodra. From Solar system appeared Vaivaswat Manu. Vishnu appeared from Poorvaardh and Vaaman appeared from Paraardh.

Whoever Vishnu takes Avataar in Sat Yug, He appears in child form. At that time human the age was of 400 years. In this Yug (Tretaa Yug) Hari has attained adulthood and has appeared from Poorvaardh. In this Yug the human age was 300 years. In Dwaapar Yug, Hari got matured and human age was 200 years. In Kali Yug Bhagavaan was in dying state and the human age was 100 years. In Brahmaa's Paraardh, when Vaaman Avataar occurred, Vishnu was Indra's younger brother. He became Tri-Yugee for the benefit of the world.

When Vishnu took Vaaman Avataar in Brahmaa's Paraardh, He became Indra's younger brother. He had four arms, dark complexioned and was sitting on Garud. In Sat Yug Naaraayan appeared from the half part of Vaaman in white Hans (swan) form. In Tretaa Yug He appears in red color in Yagya Form. In Dwaapar Yug, He appeared in yellow color. In the Sandhyaa of Dwaapar Yug, Vishnu took birth from Devakee in the house of Vasudev in Mathuraa. Brahmaa etc Devtaa had prayed Him, then He said - "For the welfare of the world I will incarnate in Kali Yug and I will play in a secret lonely place of Vrindaa Van on earth. In Kali Yug also all Shruti will come in Gopee form and play with me. In the end of Kali Yug, on Raadhaa's request I will end this play and ill incarnate in the form of Kalki. In the end of Kali Yug, after Pralaya I will again as Satya Dharm in Sat Yug." Hearing this all Devtaa disapeared. Hey Muni, Thus in every Yug Bhagavaan play His Leelaa.

Pathaan and Taimoor Lang in Delhi

Shaunak Jee asked - "Which kings ruled after Prithveeraaj?" Soot Jee said - "Paishaach (Pathaan) king Kutukoddeen (Kutubuddeen) was the ruler of Delhi. The beautiful city Valeegarh was secured by Yaadav. He went there with his 10,000 soldiers and won Veersen's grandson Bhoopsen. Some other kings came from other countries and they threw him out of the country after defeating him. Hearing this Shaahbuddeen again came to Delhi from Gaur. He won kings, broke many gods statues and temples.. Then came some Mlechchh kings, ruled for 6-7 years and died.

Hey Muni, They broke many Dev statues and temples, and made Teerth and Aashram unholy, so you come with me to Badaree Van." Hearing this Rishi got sad and left Naimish Aranya for Badaree Van. They all started meditating on Hari. After some time Rishi again requested to tell them the history of the Kalp. Soot Jee again said - "Whatever I have seen in Yog Nidraa, I am describing to you. After this Mukul (Mugal Vanshee) became the Mlechchh king. That Mlechchh king Timirling (Taimoor Lang) came in Madhya Desh. He won all Aarya and Mlechchh kings and troubled all king in Delhi. He called Aarya and said - "You all are idol worshipper. This Shaalgraam is only a stone, how is it justified to worship it?" and he threw Shaalgraam in a burning fire. He loaded all worshipped Shaalgraam stones on camels and took them to his own country. He built a strong fort in Taittir (Taataar) Desh and built a staircase to climb on his throne.

Seeing this Devtaa got very sad and went to Indra, they said - "We live in Shaalgraam, but Mlechchh king Taimoor Lang has built the staircase of Shaalgraam." Indra, in anger, threw his Vajra towards Taittir Desh. It broke the whole country to pieces and that Mlechchh got killed. Devtaa picked all Shaalgraam stones and dropped them in Gandakee River. Then Indra requested Brihaspati Jee to protect them from Daitya. Brihaspati said - "Vishnu has given a Var to your wife Shachee that "I will incarnate as your son in Kali Yug." So you and Shachee go to the banks of Gangaa River and be a Braahman in Shaantipur." Indra came to Prayaag along with 11 Rudra, 8 Vasu and Ashwinee Kumaar and prayed Soorya Bhagavaan in Maagh Maas on Makar Sankraanti. Brihaspati Jee told them the importance of Soorya worship.
