Vaahan

Vaahan means Vehicle on which somebody rides. Modern Vaahan for people on Prithvi are bicycle, car, scooter, motorcycle, air plane, etc. As people ride on their own Vaahan, Devtaa and Devee also have their own Vaahan. Every Devtaa has got his own separate Vaahan or carrier, usually an animal. Lakshmee have her own Vaahan, while Saraswatee and Paarvatee Jee share it with their consorts Brahmaa Jee and Shiv Jee, for example

Brahmaa's Vaahan is Swan
Vishnu's Vaahan is Garud,
Shiv's Vaahan is Nandee Bull
Bhairav's Vaahan is fierce dog
Ganesh's Vaahan is Mouse
Kaarttikeya's Vaahan is Peacock,

Agni's Vaahan is Billy Goat
Indra's Vaahan is Airaavat Elephant
Kaam Dev's Vaahan is Parrot
Nairriti's Vaahan is Corpse
Shani's Vaahan is Kaak (crow)
Varun's Vaahan is Crocodile
Yam's Vaahan is Bison (he-buffalo),

Devee's (Durgaa) Vaahan is Lion
Lakshmee's Vaahan is Owl,
Saraswatee's Vaahan is Swan,
Paarvatee's Vaahan is Nandee Bull
