Origin of Devtaa, Asur, Naag etc

Bheeshm said - "Hey Muni, Now I wish to hear about the origin of Devtaa, Daanav, Gandharv, Naag etc." Pulastya Jee said - "Hey Kurunandan, It is said that in those days people could be created by intention, seeing and touching, but after Daksh, the creation started by "physical contact" method. Thus how did he create people, I tell you now that. First he started creating people by old methods (by touching, by intention, by sweat etc), he found that the increase in population was not satisfactory, then he produced 60 daughters from his wife Veerinee by "physical contact" method.

From them, he gave 10 daughters to Dharm, 13 daughters to Kashyap, 27 daughters to Chandramaa, 4 daughters to Arishtnemi, 2 daughters to Bhrigu's son, 2 daughters to Krishaashwa and 2 daughters to Maharshi Angiraa. Now you listen to the extension of their families.
